Trust The Process

Plastisol transfer is a screen printing process that makes use of heat to transfer a printed design from a sheet of release paper to the textile fabric. The way it works is that heat and pressure is applied onto the shirt to cure the ink just enough to bond it into the shirt. The paper is then peeled off so to allow the printed design to be bonded on top of the fabric.
When done correctly, this process will produce a permanent print that is as undistinguishable as a directly printed design.
Heat transfers are more economical, efficient, and profitable as compared to direct printing when:

  • When you have limit space and inventory capacity you can keep all your designs and prints in a box and fulfill your orders as they come rolling in!
  • The design of the shirt has to be changed and reprinted frequently.
  • When there are only small quantities of shirts to be printed to limit sales.
  • When you are going to print on a curved fabric such as baseball cap.

Benefits

  • When you have limit space and inventory capacity you can keep all your designs and prints in a box and fulfill your orders as they come rolling in!

  • You can print on different types of fabrics in small quantities

  • You can have multiple designs on a single release paper this is called “ganging designs”

  • Great for creative odd positions or difficult curved fabric e.g neck tags, underwear, headwear, jackets etc)
